1 - The right age to get married

In many undeveloped countries children are often forced to marry on arranged weddings scheduled even long before they're born, while in developed countries the legal age to get married circles around the late 10's and the early 20's. However, this age is more often than not put to debate using arguments like the capacity of a teenager to understand the world and choose their actions.

Without taking part in the debate yet, let's see the reasons behind 18 years being the minimun legal age to get married: at that age a person is considered and adult, they can vote, they can be independient, and they're supposed to know how their decisions will affect them. And, although these factors change in each person, these motives are completely right; a man or woman is given the right to get married along with the rights of voting and getting a driving licence, so it is the optimal age.

When putting the topic up to debate, people often mention how some younger people are already intelligent enough to know what they're doing or how grown-up people can still be very inmature, but then, the point of 18 years being the right age to get rights is lost in translation by a handful of unreasonable arguments revolving around subjective statements.

Whether 18 years is the right age to get the right to get married is up to anyone then, as seen before, but a conclusion we can come up with is that the current age is the right one because of all the rights that are given to a person once they reach said age.
